National Film Challenge 2011

On the set for "Redlight." With Brandon Derr.
Last weekend I participated in the National Film Challenge.  All over the country, filmmakers are given three days to make a short film from the first idea to the final edit.  Adding to the fun, there is a required prop, character and line of dialogue.  It's fast and furious and more than a little stressful, but I have always (well, almost always) enjoyed participating.
This year I worked with Nothing Scared Productions on the thriller "Redlight." We managed to get some really cool locations that added immensely to the film.  I'm very excited to see how the film turned out.  Watch this space, because the National Film Challenge posts the submissions online for viewing and audience voting!  And yes, that's blood on the floor and on Brandon's hands... you'll just have to watch the film to see what happened...

I'm playing Regan in King Lear at Capital Fringe Festival

In MixRun’s inventive retelling of Shakespeare’s classic tale, outlaw biker gang leader “King” Lear banishes his youngest daughter and his Sergeant-at-Arms in a drunken rage, igniting a bloody turf war that divides the Knights of Albion. His ruthless older daughters and their lovers use sex, violence and betrayal to compete for control, as Lear’s power wanes. Directed by Kelli Biggs and starring Michael Galizia, this fast-paced, action-packed production offers a modern audience and vivid new look at the tragedy of Lear’s downfall.
